Discovering Medora

Since moving here Matt has worked a TON of long days, only taking Sundays off. It was taking a toll on us so this last weekend he got Saturday off too and we took advantage of the extra day and headed to the town of Medora about 30 miles away. It is such a cute little tourist town with lots of fun things to do.

We started out at the park which was an awesome wood park nestled right into the badlands. The boys would have been happy to just spend the rest of the day there.

Then we took a covered wagon ride and Jack got to sit up front and drive! It was a 30 minute ride and we learned all about the history of the town. The weather was awesome and it was 30 minutes of total relaxation.

Then we took a drive through the Theodore Roosevelt National Park which was about an hour and a half drive and it was beautiful. The boys crashed hard and slept through the entire thing, but Matt and I stopped for pictures, saw buffalo, saw wild horses, and enjoyed the breathtaking views. When people say that North Dakota has nothing to offer, they don't know what they are missing!

Overall, we had an outstanding day together, and we will definitely be heading back to Medora for more fun!
