Today was a wonderful day to celebrate Jackson's first birthday (even though he doesn't turn one until Monday). We had his grandparents from Chicago and MN, aunts from Chicago and MN, and friends come over for a barbecue. The food was great, Jack got tons of great gifts, and he thoroughly enjoyed his first cupcake. Some of the notable gifts were: a cozy coupe, a soccer net, a wagon, a ride along dump truck, a fake car steering wheel and controls, a puzzle, water bottles, and TONS of adorable clothes. Thank you to all of our friends and family who made the trip to celebrate with us! For those of you who couldn't be here I thought you might enjoy a few pics:

Even though Jackson's birthday isn't for 6 more days, we took him to picture people for pictures in his birthday onesie and crown! It sure was not easy to get pictures of him, all he wanted to do was run towards us and wouldn't stay still at all. Luckily they managed to get a few cute ones!

The other day I was scrapbooking, Matt was watching tv, and Jackson was playing. The next thing we knew Jackson was in his toy basket! He thought it was hilarious and had no idea how to get back down so he just laid his head down! He is definitely a little trouble maker!
I have seriously fallen off on the blogging, but I thought I would add a few pics from when our friends Nate, Brooke, and their Dog Kia came to town. As most of you know I am NOT a dog person, and the words, "I never want a dog", may have come out of my mouth a time or two. After two days with Kia my mind is changed and I would happily get a golden doodle like her! We tried to hike the Chautauqua in Boulder with them, but ended up only getting about 20 feet from the car due to a huge storm rolling in. Jackson was LOVING the wind though and couldn't get enough of it!

Tomorrow marks two years of marriage for Matt and I! Tonight we celebrated with the "perfect" date. My friend Racheal volunteered to watch Jackson. It gave us great feeling to know that they were having a great time while we ate out a "Texas de Brazil". It is a Brazillian Steakhouse where "gauchos" bring skewer after skewer of fabulous steaks and meats until you have eaten more than you could ever want. We had outstanding service, outstanding food, and a great time together celebrating two years of blissful marriage!
